In my hometown, There have been a lot of changes and improvements in recent years.

In the past, the school was very small and low. In rainy days, schoolchildren had to study in the dark and get wet because of the leaks in the roofs, but now ThE school is a big three-floor building with lots of modern equipment and a large library.

In the past, a great number of streets were narrow or with potholes (ổ gà). They were flooded when there were heavy rains. Now they are raised and widened with light posts on the both sides.

In the past, the hospital comprised old houses, but now it is replaced by tall and modern air-conditioned buildings.

In the past, there was only an old market with a low and dark house. Now there are some tall and modern supermarkets and big department stores offering a large choice of various goods to shoppers.

And a remarkable change in my hometown is the big park in the centre, where people can go for fresh air or pleasure after a day’s hard work.
