3. Van Mieu is the largest and the most important temple in Ha Noi. It was founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong, and dedicated to Confucius. In the Courtyard of the Stelea you can see 82 Stelea, on which are recorded the names of successful examination scholars. Each side is carried on the hack of a tortoise, but they are arranged in no chronological order.
